The London Web Analytics Contractor Group was founded by Barry in 2015. It operates as a WhatsApp group and currently has 228 members (Jan 2026) . The group serves as a community for professionals in web analytics, tag management, and digital marketing technologies although these days it has become a lot broader.

Members share job opportunities, discuss technical implementations, and exchange ideas related to Adobe Analytics, Tealium, Google Tag Manager, customer and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) with a sprinkling of Power BI etc.

It has grown steadily over the years and remains an active hub for contractors and experts in the field.

Membership is open to UK, EU, and Irish contractors, providing mutual support across regions. Sub-groups exist for fun and banter, as well as spin-off groups dedicated to IR35 tax support and guidance for first-time contractors operating through limited companies. A sister group also exists for professionals in Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO). In 2024, a dedicated sub-group focused on AI was introduced.
